BE MORE CREATIVE. TAKE RISKS. CAPTURE LIFE.
Every year I plan on blogging more, shooting more conceptual work, and capturing more of my personal life. I'm super enthusiastic and disciplined for few months, but life always manages to get in the way of these goals, so I put them on the side and focus on more important matters - clients, bills, health, family and friends, and so on.
This year is going to be different. This year is going to be the year of change and creativity, and what better way to start this new journey than with a super fun and creative project, right? I've decided to start Project Life, a 52-week photography project about my life. Each week I'm going to capture personal memories, something that I haven't done in years. When I get wrapped up in my business, special moments in my personal life get overlooked and forgotten. Life is precious and we should capture it, because without photos, all we will have are our memories.
This year I'm also going to be focusing more on conceptual and editorial work. Don't get me wrong, I love being a portrait photographer and working with families, children and seniors, but I can't be as creative with those kinds of sessions as I can be when I am shooting for myself. I'm not only a great photographer, but also an amazing artist. I recently realized that there is a whole other world out there, full of insanely creative, conceptual art, and I am dying to tap into it. I am great at what I do, but I can be even better if I stop taking the safe road, take risks and just put myself out there. It's time for me to put my big girl panties on and to get my conceptual work out there for the world to see. So, in addition to capturing my personal life every week, I'm going to be creating at least one amazing, emotionally stirring piece of art.
This will be a year of family, friends and personal greatness.

I hope you enjoyed this small peek into my oh-so-boring daily life, but I promise that the majority of the time it is more chaotic than boring. This was just a slow week!
